Pairing AirPods to a windows PC may not be as easy as pairing them to iPads, iPhones, or macOS devices, but is certainly not complicated. However, don’t expect to get the full range of features, such as the use of SIRI.

How to Connect AirPods to PC

Below are the steps you should take to connect your AirPods to your PC:

Step 1. Insert your AirPods into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2. Press and hold a button found at the back of the case, and only let go when you see a white light blinking.

Step 3. Open the setting app, usually found in the bottom left corner of your screen of your PC, or by pressing the Windows button on your keyboard. Then click on “Devices”. A window named “Bluetooth & other devices” will appear. Click on that window.

Step 4. Toggle the Bluetooth option on. This is what will help your PC discoverable by nearby Bluetooth signals.

Step 5. You will see a plus (+) sign next to “Add Bluetooth or other devices” click that sign which will prompt a new window named “Add a device” to pop up.

Step 6. Select “Bluetooth” to that new window pop up. This will cause the Windows to search for nearby Bluetooth devices that are on.

Step 7. You will see your AirPods on the list of Bluetooth-enabled devices. Click on the AirPods to have them paired and connected with your Windows PC. A confirmation window will pop up, notifying you that your device is paired and ready to go.

How to Connect AirPods to PC using the Action Center

If you have read the above steps and felt they are too hectic for you, there is another option you can use to connect your AirPods to your Laptop. This is via the action Center, and these are the steps you should follow:

Step 1. Place your AirPods into the Charging case and leave the lid open.

Step 2. Press and hold the back button located on the AirPods changing system until a white flashing light appears.

Step 3. On the far right side of your laptop, next to the date and time, there is the notification icon. Click on it and “The Action Center” will appear. Fancy a shortcut? Press the Windows key and “A” at the same time, and the “Action Center” will appear.

Step 4. The Action Center will have a part written “Connect”, click on that part and windows will search for any Bluetooth-enabled device.

Step 5. Click on AirPods on the list that will come up, and it will automatically pair with your Laptop.

You can now use your AirPods on your PC for conferences, listening to YouTube videos or movies, and so forth. In case you want to reconnect your paired AirPods, just go back to the settings under Bluetooth & other devices and select your AirPods on the list.

How To Connect AirPods To  Mac

Setting up your AirPods with your Mac is easy if you are signed in to your iCloud account with the same Apple ID. You will only have to press the volume control or click on the Bluetooth icon on your Mac and then choose AirPods on the menu list that will appear.

In rare cases that you don’t see the AirPods in the Bluetooth menu or when pressing the volume control, you can:

Step 1.Go to the Apple menu on your Mac and choose System preference. Ensure that your AirPods are in the charging case and the lid opened. Also, ensure that your Mac’s Bluetooth is on.

Step 2.Click on Bluetooth until a white light in the charging case between the AirPods starts to flicker. This will enable you to see your AirPods appear among the list of discoverable devices on your Mac

Step 3. Select AirPods from the list and click connect

AirPods will give you clear sound without the struggle of untangling wires, you will also bid goodbye to unsightly wires in your bags or pockets. Unlike the wires that may break from the earphones and headphones that cause one side to Malfunction, you are assured to receive sound from both devices provided you charge them.
